Since the announcement of the return of the One Piece live-action series on Netflix, fans have been on the lookout for any information regarding season 2. Between the clues dropped by the production team and the rumors circulating, it's hard to keep track. We’ve rounded up what we really know, and how to embrace the excitement in style.
Where does season 2 stand?
Netflix confirmed the series' renewal for a second season shortly after the success of the first. Filming and post-production are underway, and the platform has gradually shared early visuals of the crew on new islands. As with any production of this scale, the precise release date evolves as work progresses: the most reliable source is to follow official announcements from Netflix rather than rumors circulating online.
What we know about the next part of the story
Without spoiling anything for those still discovering the story, the upcoming live-action installment should move the Straw Hat crew toward new islands, with new faces to meet and more intense challenges. The great strength of the first season was staying true to the spirit of the original manga while cleverly adapting it to a live-action format; early feedback on the production suggests this sequel is continuing in that direction.
